Fugue State #5This piece is from a small series from 2024 called Fugue State. They were experimental works created shortly after I finished the Turps Correspondence Course, where I began working with ideas of flesh and biological references. The techniques from this series have evolved to become a staple element and underpin many of my paintings. This particular work was selected for a group show early this year at Shoreditch Modern Gallery in London.

Through these processes my work shifts the pictorial plane away from a knowable landscape towards a vague terrain that re-frames our relationship to the land
